How to Use Present continuous tense as questions.

Today's section of Learn Essential English Grammar in Use I will try to give you an idea how to use present continuous tense as questions.

am/is/ are as positive and question:

I am doing
am I doing?
he is working
is he working?
she is going
is she going?
it is moving
is it moving?
you are reading
are you reading?
we are playing
are we playing?
they are swimming
are they swimming?

Here's some examples:

• 'Are you feeling ok?' 'Yes I'm fine,thanks'.
• 'Is it raining?' 'Yes,take an umbrella'.
• 'Why are you wearing a coat?' 'it's not cold'.
• 'what's Robin doing?' 'He's reading a news paper'.
• Look,there's Jolly! Where is she going?'.
• Who are you waiting for? Are you waiting for Raju?.

short answers:
Yes, I am
No, I am not
Yes, he/she/it is
No, he/she/it is not
yes,we/they/you are
No,we/they/you are not
Examples of some short answers:
Are you going now? Yes I am.
Is Robin working today? Yes,he is.
Is it raining? No,it is not.
Are your friends staying at hotel? No they aren't .They are staying with me.
